A good friend of mine has participated in Ableton's, Beat the Clock contest. Rules for the contest are you download a remix pack of stems from some incredible artists such as M83, The Junior Boys, and a few others, there is a catch though. From when you download the remix packs you HAVE to submit your completed track within 24hrs to be eligible for the prize.
DoctaMario's track is using the Junior Boys remix pack and its super funky, with lots of glitchy vocals and a pumping bassline to get you moving. I highly recommend checking out his track, and make a vote for it. The prizes are amazing, so help a brotha out and put your vote in now!

Welcome to the musical creation that Austen Afridi, aka Viceroy exploits very well. Hailing from non other than the beautiful San Francisco, California. Where the beaches glisten and the pool parties are plentiful. Viceroy’s latest EP Sunburn, released this past November, is full of funky synth lines and perfectly placed vocal samples which he is deeming “funkplextro.” Whilst this is his latest release, he already has quite a few independent releases beforehand that have gained him massive exposure through the blogosphere including his remix to Wiz Khalifa’s, This Plane.
My favorite track without a doubt is the self titled Sunburn, for good reasons too. The dreamy synth buildups, then straight into the funk full of those notable vocal samples and arpeggiated piano lines. I highly recommend going to Viceroys website here and getting a Sunburn that burns oh so well. I will warn you though, these funky beach tunes will put you in a state of euphoria, leaving you wanting more so make sure to show Viceroy some love on his Twitter, as he’s always giving out free remixes.

Tim Ismag is thee shit! Personally, I love this guy's style. All of his bass sound design is supper heavy and he has that glitched out style down to a science.
Not very familiar with Kappa, but one thing I'm positive about is the guy produces some super wicked tunes, and rips on a guitar over his beats for his live performance. Sounds awesome to me.

This guy's got some soul power bruh! I have been listening to this mixtape non-stop all week and I like it a lot. Big K.R.I.T. spits some real shit! His lyrics are really creative and meaningful. Unfortunately that is something that is hard to find these days. He will most definitely be a King Remembered In Time.
Woke up to this EP in my inbox this morning, what a great surprise. Tokio Thunderbyrd; an aspiring artist from Maryland dropped the 7 track VEGASONACIDEP March 15. I must say he is a very talented artist who is already standing out from so many other artists out there. One thing before I go on though, was the email he sent me, professional, not begging or being a nuisance. So off the bat even if I didn't like his music I still would have posted it cause that shows a lot.
Onto the tunes...All quality music here, with all the beats being originals produced by Kaptain Zero. He says these are some tracks from the past years...If most of these are years old I can't wait to hear what he has coming. I've listened through this EP and each song is a story of its own, he seems to be a very versatile artist who already has an idea of how he's trying to portray himself. His love for the art is undeniable, he brings the truth and lays it all out with some fantastic lyricism. This VS EP dropped a while back, but you still will love it. He is already in the studio working on a new album you can expect that to be posted right on time too!

I've just recently came across this group Lemâitre, without a doubt the duo are making some beautiful jams. These Norwegian's have good taste, their music has some incredible synth and piano melodies to really build it up into some smooth disco beats. They do it well and catch you off guard always.

Awesome mix here from MiMOSA, dude without a doubt is super creative, this mix has plenty of unreleased goodies, plus plenty from the man himself. Tad short but its definitely worth the download.
Regardless of what anyone thinks about Deadmau5, I am totally on his side for everything he has to say in this interview. He made music for years in his bedroom, released it for free like any typical bedroom producer. Then he blew up, something he could never expect to happen; many people would say he "sold out" I DISAGREE! He didn't plan for any of that to happen, he made music he loved, and it just happens so did millions of other people.
In spite of that, he's stayed true to himself, he didn't allow any of his "fame & glory" to change who he was at heart, he's decided to go on and keep all his social media aspects to himself, create his own successful record label, he even turns down "bigger than big" acts cause he feels it won't help him gain anything from it, or further expand the EDM world.
I can respect the man for everything he's done and will be doing. He just wants people to have fun, thats what its all about anyways. Everyone should give him respect for what he's done to the wonderful world of EDM.
I also love how much of an asshole he is, he doesn't give a shit what you have to say about his actions, he has his own vision and he continues to build it each and every day like everyone of you should. As long as you have a vision, you don't need a plan, just work hard and you will figure it all out as it comes.
So...changed up the blog a bit today, I think it looks much better than before. Plus those two chicks are just WOW!

Another remix out today from an artist that you all should be following by now; Justin Perea. At only 19yrs old I can foresee a bright future for this young producer from Texas. He already has numerous releases on Beatport to remixes of some incredible songs. Especially this one Bear Talk, really lovin this remix especially that he's putting a new spin on some 110bpm dubstep. This is my new favorite track from him, at least till he has his next release.
Dillon Francis over the past year has seen a huge rise in success especially with the track I.D.G.A.F.O.S, which brings a whole new name to the "moobah" genre. Today I have a very awesome remix of that track with an intro I would have to say I like better.

Lana Del Rey has a beautiful voice and I enjoy listening to her songs. Not gonna lie, I might even have a little crush on her. But when you add a little more bass, and some build ups and drops, im hooked. Kill Paris does a wonderful remix here for Lana on her song Without You. Download and enjoy!

Hoshina Anniversary is the latest addition to the GND Records roster. He's a DJ and producer based in Tokyo (Japan). His Tuxedo EP contains three original tracks that simply sound amazing. 'Tuxedo' delivers us a solid Techno Track with a banging Chicago House Bassline. On the other hand 'Chicago' is an experimentation about what you can do with a simple vocal hook by using granular synthesis. Last but not least 'Go Go' is the third track on this fabulous EP. A hypnotic techno tune that beams us back into the early nineties. We hope that you are as much excited as we are about this new release!

His new one is no different with a little bit of a reggae vibe. Noisestorm is someone I haven't really heard about but I am totally digging this original tune of his. Good work with the synths mixed in with some dirty bass and vocal chopping. And Mr. Wonks song Shadows is pretty cool too. Little info on this guy. Ch ch check it out!

Amazing remix here of Must Be The Feeling originally by none other than the superstar group Nero. The remix is by Delta Heavy whom I've previously posted a track before and this track is a bit different than the last. Real bouncy, fidgety, an all around ruckus, still top notch though. Its a free download too so you can't complain.
Just came across this killer tune from quite the odd collab; Rusko & Cypress Hill. From what I've gathered it seems Rusko has been working with Cypress Hill for quite some time now this coming spring you can expect an EP titled Cypress Hill X Rusko. This track I've got here is awesome, got some nice wobbles, and Cypress Hill's B-Real and Sen Dog throwing down some ill rhymes.
I must say Pretty Lights is an incredible act to see live and even watch from your computer. I had the chance to see him here in Nashville and it was insane, but this right here is a whole nother level! Just watch and listen, but I warn you, if your prone to seizures you may wanna stray away.

I really don't think I should have to say much cause we all know Bassnectar brings it fucking hard! Theres remixes on here from Glitch Mob, Beats Antique, ill Gates, Terravita, and Steve Aoki. I'm listening through to this right now and my god, its incredible.
I was introduced to Focusjca last night from a friend and I must say I'm really liking this guys style. There is something about real hip hop, where they tell a story about their life experiences that I will never be able to get enough of. The beats are spot on, the lyrics are truthful, what more do you need?

It amazes me with the amount of young producers that are around nowadays and Popeska is definitely one to watch out for in the near future. At only 19 years old he is producing some original tracks that have some awesome atmospheric, spacey, synth driven intros, then comes that drop and boy does it drop hard! His tracks are something you will just have to hear for yourself I promise you won't be disappointed.
