Regardless of what anyone thinks about Deadmau5, I am totally on his side for everything he has to say in this interview. He made music for years in his bedroom, released it for free like any typical bedroom producer. Then he blew up, something he could never expect to happen; many people would say he "sold out" I DISAGREE! He didn't plan for any of that to happen, he made music he loved, and it just happens so did millions of other people.
In spite of that, he's stayed true to himself, he didn't allow any of his "fame & glory" to change who he was at heart, he's decided to go on and keep all his social media aspects to himself, create his own successful record label, he even turns down "bigger than big" acts cause he feels it won't help him gain anything from it, or further expand the EDM world.
I can respect the man for everything he's done and will be doing. He just wants people to have fun, thats what its all about anyways. Everyone should give him respect for what he's done to the wonderful world of EDM.
I also love how much of an asshole he is, he doesn't give a shit what you have to say about his actions, he has his own vision and he continues to build it each and every day like everyone of you should. As long as you have a vision, you don't need a plan, just work hard and you will figure it all out as it comes.
